To demonstrate veterans status, you will be asked to show a Veteran ID or Driver’s License that notes Military Veteran status upon arrival. If you do not have either of these forms of veteran identification, we will ask you to sign in at the welcome desk.

All video exhibits within the National Veterans Memorial and Museum are closed-captioned.
Large print copies of the NVMM Map and Visitor Guide are available at the Welcome Desk.
All Museum entrances are accessible as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Entries on each floor may be accessed via a ramp, including those at the Rooftop Sanctuary. An elevator also provides access to all three levels of the NVMM.
Those using wheelchairs, walkers, or with other mobility concerns may find the Group Entrance easiest to navigate. This entrance is flat and does not require the use of a ramp. A drop-off area located adjacent to the parking lot. Visitors using this entrance will begin their visit on the Museum’s Lower Level.
Wheelchairs are available. Please visit the Museum’s Welcome Desk or inquire with any NVMM volunteer.
The National Veterans Memorial and Museum is currently working with national and local leaders to ensure our space is accessible, accepting, and welcoming at all times.
Visitors should note:
- Videos used throughout the NVMM’s exhibitions.
- Audio is used as well, though the volume is typically constrained to a specific exhibit.
- Lighting levels are relatively low, to create a respectful atmosphere for reflection, as well as to preserve our artifacts. Strobe lights are not part of our standing exhibitions.
Parking is available in the north lot adjacent to the Museum. lease use the entrance on Broad Street. All visitors must have their parking ticket validated at the NVMM information desk to receive a discounted rate. Discounted parking is available only in the NVMM parking lot, not in nearby garages and surface lots.
