With Creativity and Humor, A Child of War Finally Tells Her Story

Join us in April, the Month of the Military Child for a special program: “With Creativity and Humor, A Child of War Finally Tells Her Story” Sometimes the service member brings the horrors of war home with them. Patricia Wynn Brown’s talk and reading will show how she learned to not just cope in post WWII America, but thrive with the help of the arts, her imagination, and the blessed gift of humor. A representative from the Department of Veterans Affairs will be on hand to discuss PTSD and the current mental health resources available to service members, Veterans, and their families.

Copies of Patricia’s book Royal Roots: Reimagining a Life through Humor, a Castle, and the US Navy will be available at this program.

Hosted by National Veterans Memorial and Museum in collaboration with the Ohioana Library.
