Patriot Day Ceremony

We’re honored to partner with the City of Columbus for its annual Patriot Day ceremony to commemorate all who lost their lives, the first responders who rescued so many and refused to leave anyone behind, and the Veterans who served again on that fateful day 24 years ago. This ceremony will begin in the Great Hall at Noon and is free to attend.

“Light During Wartime: The Combat Photography of Stacy Pearsall”

Light During Wartime is a collection of photographs by Stacy Pearsall that showcase her unique painterly use of light and shadow.

Pearsall served with the U.S. Air Force Combat Photography Unit from 2003 to 2008. During that time, Pearsall photographed U.S. military troops and locals. Through her work, she portrays moments of action, as well as the in-between moments of camaraderie, rest, and reflection.

After being wounded in combat, Pearsall retired from the Air Force in 2008. Photos from her “Veterans Portrait Project” are showcased as part of the NVMM’s permanent exhibition in the Great Hall of the Museum.
