Yoga with Buckeye Paws Therapy Dogs

Stay calm with the help of our furry friends in our first-ever Pets and Vets guided yoga session. Buckeye Paws Therapy Dogs, an innovative animal-assisted therapy program launched by The OSU Wexner Medical Center, joins us to share how man’s best friend and yoga can be a powerful combination to help relieve stress, build resilience and maintain optimal fitness.

We maintain a welcoming and safe learning environment for all levels of experience, whether you have never taken a yoga class or you are an advanced student. Veterans and civilians alike are invited to participate and connect.

This event is free but registration is required.

Buckeye Paws was initiated in March 2020, with the mission of supporting the mental and emotional health of staff at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center through highly trained, certified therapy dog-handler teams.

Due to the success of the program and support from President Kristina M. Johnson and the Buckeye Paws Advisory Board, in March 2022, Buckeye Paws announced their expansion to provide therapy dog assistance to students, faculty and staff of The Ohio State University.

The dogs of Buckeye Paws are certified through Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and the Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD).

The event is finished.
