Celebrate Women’s History Month with us on March 20 at Saluting Women Who Serve, a free event honoring female veterans with networking, storytelling, and conversation. On March 29, join the “Welcome Home” Ceremony for Vietnam War Veterans, featuring keynote speaker U.S. Navy Veteran Kimberly M. Mitchell. Plus, don’t miss Syd Solomon: Concealed and Revealed, open through May 11, exploring the dualities of war through abstract art.

Saluting Women Who Serve
March 20, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Join us for a special Women’s History Month event honoring the voices and experiences of female veterans. Hosted by the City of Columbus City Council and the National Veterans Memorial and Museum, this gathering will provide a space for networking, storytelling, and meaningful conversations. The evening will begin with refreshments and an introduction from Councilwoman Day-Achauer, followed by a brief keynote address by U.S. Army Veteran Jennifer Ballou, Chief of Staff of the Global War on Terror Memorial Foundation . Attendees will then take part in facilitated small-group discussions, sharing their stories, and connecting with others who have served. This free event is open to all female veterans—because every story of service deserves to be heard and honored.
Admission is FREE and Free parking is available.

Vietnam War Veterans Day
March 29
The NVMM is proud to commemorate National Vietnam War Veterans Day with a “Welcome Home” Ceremony for our Veterans, live from our Great Hall. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the fall of Saigon.
Our keynote speaker is U.S. Navy Veteran Kimberly M. Mitchell. Mitchell was a Vietnamese orphan who was adopted by a U.S. Airman and grew up in Wisconsin. She attended the U.S. Naval Academy, and after her military career, she become an advocate for Veterans. Mitchell served as the president of the Dixon Center for Military and Veterans Services and as the president and CEO of the Veterans Village of San Diego. She is a board member at the Infinite Hero Foundation and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. She also is a member of VA’s Advisory Committee on Homeless Veterans
Museum admission will be reduced to $5 and the “Welcome Home” ceremony is free.
