Wellness Weekend
Celebrate Women’s History Month with us as we offer a Wellness Weekend to restore your mind and body on March 11-12. The Museum will be highlighting amazing women from the wellness community as well as techniques and practices that you can implement to begin your wellness journey.
We maintain a welcoming and safe learning environment for all levels of experience. Veterans and civilians alike are invited to participate and connect.

Jiu Jitsu Seminar with Laurah Hallock
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Laurah Hallock joins us for our March Wellness Weekend Jiu Jitsu Seminar in celebration of Women’s History Month. As a Grappling Fight Team (GFT) Black Belt in jiu jitsu’s sporting circuit, she is considered one of the best athletes of her generation.

Mid-Ohio Food Collective Resource Fair
Join the Mid-Ohio Food Collective at the Museum for a resource fair meant to provide social services and knowledge to the community. Don’t know about resources you are eligible for? That’s what we are here for! Any and all from the community are welcome to join in on the various activities offered to learn more about what kinds of resources are available to you as a resident of Franklin County, Ohio.

Fishing for Mental Health: Fly Fishing 101
Expand your mental health toolkit with therapeutic fly-fishing during Wellness Weekend. Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing will provide fly tying and casting lessons to participants of all levels. Experience how fly fishing can offer physical and mental health benefits, provide a tranquil space for reflection, teach resilience and build community.

Jiu Jitsu Seminar with Matt Larsen
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Matt Larsen joins us for a second Wellness Weekend Jiu Jitsu Seminar. As the Director of Combatives at United States Military Academy at West Point, Mark is excited to bring his technique and skill to this special class at the NVMM. This seminar is free for attendees but registration is required. We believe in having a welcoming and safe learning environment for all levels of experience; Beginners to advanced individuals are welcome.
