Women’s Only Jiu Jitsu Open Mat

Join us at the Museum for our first Women’s Only Jiu Jitsu Open Mat class. This class is open to all women, including cis and trans women, interested in participating in a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class that focuses on self-defense and preparedness.

Alison started her Jiu Jitsu journey in the early 90’s with Royce Gracie at the start of the UFC. She has been training on the mat since 2006 and has achieved a 4-stripe purple belt. Currently, Alison teaches adult fundamentals and kid’s classes at Gracie Ohio. She has also worked with women who were pulled from the sex industry to use Jiu Jitsu to heal and process trauma through touch. As a woman who has experienced sexual trauma and been held at gunpoint, she focuses her efforts on teaching others the importance of self-defense Jiu Jitsu and a preparedness mindset.

The event is finished.
